Lab #6  - CertExams Labs1.1.5, 1.1.6, 1.1.7 & 1.1.8

Objectives:

    1.  To become familiar identify parts on a motherboard.
   

Procedure:

a.  Complete virtual labs 1.1.5, 1.1.6, 1.1.7 and 1.1.8 from CertExams A+ Lab Simulator, submit the images and be prepared to answer the questions below.  

b. The questions that will come from these labs are:

1. All the connectors displayed on Lab 1.1.5 are video connectors except two of them, which connectors?

2. Lab 1.1.6 shows the SATA connector used for Hard drives and Optical disks today. There was a table of SATA speed with the top being SATA III being 6 GBbps speed but was introduced in 2008. Is there a faster SATA speed today?

3. What was PCI-Express originally called?

4. Of the three PCI slots explained which one was not shown in any diagram?

5. The motherboard diagram for Lab 1.1.6 has a BIOSTAR TH55xe motherboard has a expansion slot that is longer than the PCIe-x1 port listed in the second diagram in the lab. Look up what type of PCIe port it is.
