Lab #3 - CertExams Labs 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, 2.10, 2.11, 2.12 & 2.13

Objectives:

    1.  To become familiar with the configurations and components for the setup of a local area network or LAN.    

Procedure:

a.  Complete virtual labs 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, 2.10, 2.11, 2.12 & 2.13   from CertExams A+ Lab Simulator, submit the images and be prepared to answer questions about the procedures.  

b. The questions that will come from these labs are:

1. If you try the ipconfig command or some other way, what type of address does your home computer or tablet or phone have? Tell me what device, what type of connection (wired or WiFi) and the IP address for that device.

2. What version of WiFi is supported at your home? Example: I have WiFi 5

3. For your home WiFi what frequency band do you connect to 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz?

4. Who is your home internet service provider (ISP) and so what type of WAN connection do you have? Most popular one is Cable with Comcast but some others may have DSL, Satellite, Wireless (Line of Site to an antenna)  or Broadband (Cell tower connection).

5. Do you know what your internet speed is? You can find a speed by going to www.speedtest.net or fast.com to see what you get.

6. Every Windows machine has IPv6 address so list your Windows system IPv6 address here by using the "iconfig /all" command. Mine looks like this: Link-local IPv6 Address:  fe80::f081:639d:2ce9:944b%10

c. Take all these images and answers and put into a document and upload it to Lab #3 assignment. Each image and each question is worth 5 points for a total of 65pts. for the lab submission.
